The 3000 Series Boxcar is built with a 1/4"
basswood frame, glued and pinned. Sides, ends, floor and roof halves are
1/8" lasered Poplar Plywood. Floor, sides and ends are scribed with the
floor scribed on both sides should the doors be left open. Truss rods and
brake staff are 16 gauge stainless steel. Side doors are 1/16" scribed Birch
Plywood with basswood trim. The end door 1/16" birch plywood. Side doors and
end door are movable. The frame is pre-built in the kit and all brake gear
metal parts are pre-drilled. Various other holes are lasered for proper
placement.
